The Evolution of Huppé Through History
Founded in 1967 by Raymond Hamel, Aurèle Huppé, and Sylvio Huppé, the company began by making cedar chests, which earned it an excellent reputation for its fine craftsmanship and the durability of its products.
Over the years, the company in Victoriaville expanded its offerings to include a diverse range of elegant and durable furniture.
EXPANSION AND INNOVATION
Under the leadership of Jacques Hamel from 1991 and the acquisition by Jean-François Nolin in 2010, Huppé consolidated its position in the market by introducing innovations such as the UP by Huppé and Relaxer lines.
These initiatives strengthened Huppé's reputation for contemporary and high-end designs, rivaling the best European manufacturers.
COMMITMENT TO EXCELLENCE
Huppé stands out for its commitment to excellence and durability. In addition to collaborating with renowned designers and introducing innovative product lines, Huppé supports artisanal quality with its team of skilled craftsmen.
The company has also developed sustainable practices, such as partnerships with Tree Canada to contribute to reforestation.
WORLDWIDE REPUTATION
Today, Huppé is distributed in over 250 stores in North America and around the world, illustrating its international success.
An Artisanal Manufacturing Process
At Huppé, every step of the manufacturing process is carried out with an artisanal commitment.
→ Preparation and Cutting
As soon as you place your furniture order with Huppé, their artisans begin by cutting the panels and preparing all the parts needed for assembly. The veneers and wood panels are finely crafted to ensure an impeccable finish.
→ Assembly and Strength
Huppé furniture assembly combines gluing and screwing techniques developed by the company to ensure unbeatable strength.
→ Quality Upholstery
For upholstered furniture, Huppé uses a reinforced solid wood frame with a lifetime guarantee. High-density foam and Italian rubber and polypropylene straps are added to provide optimal comfort and increased durability.
Regarding the upholstery, each leather and fabric is hand-cut and sewn, ensuring aesthetic appeal and long-lasting durability for each piece of furniture.
→ Hand Finishing
The finishing phase is crucial at Huppé. Each piece of furniture goes through several manual steps to achieve the desired level of quality, from meticulous sanding to infrared drying.
Custom-Made Furniture with Personalization Options
Whether you live in a large home or a condo, Huppé elevates every room with handcrafted furniture. Thanks to numerous customization options, you can tailor them perfectly to your tastes and space!
Wood
You can choose from a variety of wood species such as white oak, American black walnut, cherry, and more. Huppé offers you the option of selecting different finishes as well.
Whether it’s raw, smoked, aged, black, blackened, oiled, or roasted, the options are plentiful to help you create the atmosphere that best reflects your style!
For a unique touch, Huppé also offers "wiped" finishes. Their pigmentation reveals the natural variations in the wood, giving each piece a rich and elegant character.
Ceramic
Huppé allows you to incorporate ceramic panels into several of its furniture pieces for a spectacular effect! Imitating Calacatta marble to perfection, this ceramic reveals veins with a highly natural look.
Ceramic has the advantage of being scratch, stain, and heat-resistant. And for dining tables, Huppé’s ceramic slabs are fused with beveled glass sheets, providing even greater strength.
Leather & Fabrics
For its genuine leathers, Huppé uses only full-grain leathers treated with semi-aniline dye to minimize natural skin marks and increase finish uniformity. Semi-aniline full-grain leather is durable, and its character develops over time.
For each living room piece, you have access to a wide palette of colors, from soft tones to vibrant shades. You can also opt for faux leather upholstery for your sofa and armchairs.
You'll also find a wide variety of fabrics to customize your furniture. Choose from solid fabrics, luxurious velvet, or textured weaves, available in a large selection of colors.
The Canadian brand has also thought of families with its Efficiency® range. These fabrics are durable, easy to clean, and designed to withstand everyday wear and tear.
Lacquered Glass and Steel
Enjoy a multitude of options to personalize glass surfaces and steel elements. Choose from lacquered glass in various colors, like Boreal blue, terracotta, sage, and many more.
For the steel elements, explore a palette ranging from black and white to bolder shades like fern green. Create furniture that reflects your style with these elegant and modern customization choices.
