In the 1970s, to promote his business, Mr. Perreault rented the basement of the parish church and organized a furniture show. Over the years, the event became a must in the furniture world and the community flocked to attend. In the mid-1970s, the first employees arrived, giving Jean-Claude more time to see the business grow. At the same time, the store moved to Montée Rémi-Henri.

It is during the 80's and 90's that the company really takes off and that Jean-Claude starts to pass the torch little by little. Accompanied by his two sons, Martin and Stéphane, Jean-Claude begins the expansion of his banner in the Lanaudière region with his stores in St-Roch-de-l'Achigan, Repentigny (since merged), Joliette and the addition of his Econo division.
The "high-end" niche enters very early in the history of JC Perreault Furniture. Perreault by offering luxurious furniture and targeting a niche clientele. The company's growth is so strong that 3 new branches are opened from 2002 to 2012, in Kirkland, St-Hubert and Laval.
