Why Is the Jean One of the Most Popular Lift Chairs at JC Perreault?
content
  • Dimensions better suited for shorter people: Measuring 32.5 inches wide, 38 inches deep and 40.5 inches high, the Jean recliner creates a more natural sitting position for many people up to 5'3". The legs remain better supported, the back feels more stable and the chair takes up less space than many larger power lift recliners.
  • A firmer seat that provides better body support: The high-density foam cushions help the recliner maintain more even and stable support over time. Many customers appreciate this type of comfort because it allows them to relax longer without feeling like they are sinking too deeply into the chair.
  • Slow and steady powered reclining: The reclining and lift functions guide movements more gently when sitting down, standing up or reclining. This smoother transition creates a steadier and more comfortable feel, especially for people who use a walker or want additional support before walking.
  • Features designed to provide greater peace of mind: The Jean recliner includes an automatic legrest safety stop that pauses movement if resistance is detected, adding an extra layer of protection during use. Its ETL safety certification also confirms that the recliner meets recognized electrical and mechanical safety standards for residential use.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Jean Power Lift Recliner in Quebec

Can the Jean recliner help people who use a walker?

Many people who use a walker appreciate the Jean recliner because its lift function helps bring the body into a more upright position before standing. The slow and gradual motion also provides a steadier feeling when reaching for a walker or beginning to walk, which generally requires less effort from the legs.

Can you nap in the Jean recliner?

Many customers use the Jean recliner for naps or long periods of relaxation. Its multiple reclining positions make it easier to find a more comfortable position based on the level of support needed, while the high-density foam cushions and continuous legrest help support the body more evenly and reduce pressure points.

Does the Jean recliner require a lot of space?

The Jean recliner takes up less space than many larger power lift recliners. With its 32.5-inch width, it fits more easily into a condo, living room or bedroom where space may be more limited. When fully reclined, however, it extends to 61.5 inches in length, so enough clearance is still needed in front of the chair.

What happens during a power outage?

Many people worry about getting stuck in their recliner during a power outage. The Jean recliner includes a backup battery system powered by two 9V batteries that allows the chair to be repositioned when electricity is unavailable. This system generally helps return the recliner to a safer position so the user can stand up more easily.

Where can you try the Jean recliner in Quebec?

You can try the Jean power lift recliner by La-Z-Boy at all 5 JC Perreault stores across Quebec, as well as at the La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries in Saint-Hubert, Kirkland and Laval. These showrooms allow customers to compare different lift chairs based on support level, seat firmness, dimensions and the type of assistance needed for extended sitting periods or easier standing at home. The Jean recliner can also be customized with a wide selection of fabrics, leathers and upholstery options to better suit individual preferences and comfort needs.

What warranty comes with the Jean recliner?

The Jean power lift recliner includes La-Z-Boy’s limited lifetime warranty covering select structural components, the mechanism and several reclining system components for the original purchaser under normal residential use.
